Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana is the largest educational and research institution in the field of mechanical engineering in Slovenia.
In-house creation, research and high-quality knowledge transfer to students and partners in the research field enable competitive integration into the international environment.
At the Faculty, the pedagogical process takes place at all three levels of study, i.e. 2 first Bologna cycle programs (university, higher education), a second Bologna cycle master's program and a third Bologna cycle doctoral program. The Faculty also runs a Joint Master's Program in Surface and Contact Tribology, which is jointly run by four (4) European universities. The diploma obtained at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is internationally accredited at the European level (ASIIN, ENUA, EUR - ACE) and is therefore equivalent to other diplomas in Europe.
The scientific research activities at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are carried out in the fields of energy and process engineering, civil engineering, mechanics and maintenance of machines, production engineering, mechatronics, micromechanical systems and automation. The researchers are involved in a number of national and international projects, on the basis of which they are in contact with industry and other institutions
