Subject description
Contents
Mechanical vibrations one degree of freedom systems: free, forced, centrifugal excitation, transmissibility, vibroisolation, peridic (Fourier series) and impact excitation (convolution integral). Practical implementation.
Mechanical vibrations several degree of freedom systems: free vibrations, eigenvalue problem, modal decomposition, response in modal coordinates. Forced vibrations, damping issues. Case studies.
Vibrations of continuous systems: free vibrations of string, rod, shaft and beam. Examples from industrial applications.
